Can I set screen-time limits?

Yes, you can set screen-time limits for each kid

With Lingokids Plus, you set a daily screen-time limit for each kid and pick which activity types it covers. The Parents Area also holds the Progress Center, up to 4 kid profiles and switches for Theater, Lessons and Play Together. It all sits behind a parental gate, so the settings stay yours.

What’s inside the Lingokids Parents Area?

Eight things a grown-up can manage, all behind the parental gate.

Parents Area · behind the parental gate

Screen-time limits

Set a daily limit for each kid and choose which types it covers: Theater, Lessons or Play Together. Games stay available.

Section switches

Turn off Theater, Lessons or Play Together entirely if they don’t fit your family right now. Play always stays on.

Progress Center

After 5 finished activities, see what your kid completed, their most practiced skill, top 3 subjects and top skills.

Kid profiles

Up to 4 kids, each with their own name, birthdate and level, so the app fits each one and each gets their own limit.

My Downloads

See and manage every activity saved for offline play, so you know exactly what’s on the tablet before a trip.

Subscription

Check your renewal date, upgrade to Plus or cancel, all on the grown-up side of the app.

Free printables

60+ topics to color, sing along with or read tips on. Free for everyone, at lingokids.com/printables or in Settings.

Account email

How do I get into the Parents Area?

Two taps and a question only a grown-up can answer.

  1. Tap your kid’s name

In the Kids Area, tap your kid’s profile in the top left corner.

  2. Tap Parents Area

It sits behind the Parental Gate, so little fingers stop here.

  3. Enter the year you were born

That’s the parental gate. Pass it and you’re in, with every setting on this page.

How do I set a screen-time limit in Lingokids?

It takes a minute. You’ll need Lingokids Plus or the free week.

  1. Open the Parents Area

Answer the parental gate question, the year you were born. Kids can’t get past it on their own.

  2. Pick a kid

Each profile gets its own limit, so your 3-year-old and your 7-year-old don’t have to share one rule.

  3. Set the daily limit

Choose how long, then choose which types it covers: Theater, Lessons or Play Together.

  4. End on a goodnight

Pair the limit with the bedtime routine, where kids tuck a character into bed, so play winds down instead of cutting to black.

What can I switch off, and what always stays on?

We’d rather tell you now than have you find out later.

Play Together, your rules

You can switch off

Theater, where the shows and videos live. Lessons. Play Together. And with Plus, you can set a daily limit for each kid by activity type.

Always stays on

Play, the games section. Games stay available even when a limit is set. A few videos on the home screen can’t be blocked either. Everything is still part of a closed, hand-picked, ad-free catalog.

Serious about fun

Fun for them. Peace of mind for you.
