Trusted edtech and media brand Lingokids features beloved preschool Pocoyo content and new, exclusive games designed to promote academic and socio-emotional development
LOS ANGELES, June 26, 2025 – Lingokids, the #1 interactive app for children aged 2-8, is pleased to announce a partnership with Animaj, the next-generation media company behind the iconic preschool brand Pocoyo, to bring the beloved character and his friends to the platform. Pocoyo is an iconic Hispanic brand with strong global recognition and cross-cultural appeal, narrated in English by the legendary British actor Stephen Fry. This marks just the second time Lingokids has partnered with an external IP, further reinforcing its position as the go-to resource for guilt-free screen time in a safe yet entertaining environment.
Through this partnership, families can now enjoy a specially curated Pocoyo content hub within the Lingokids app, designed to blend playful exploration with educational outcomes. Original series episodes and exclusive Pocoyo games developed by the Lingokids team are live on the app, with more games set to roll out in the coming months.
“Lingokids and Animaj both believe that learning and fun go hand in hand,” said Cristóbal Viedma, Founder and CEO, Lingokids. “This partnership allows us to enrich our trusted educational programs with characters that families know and love. We are delighted to introduce this new content hub, which will spark unforgettable experiences for both children and their families.”
The Pocoyo games by Lingokids are exclusive to the Lingokids app and are aligned with Lingokids’ Playlearning™ methodology, an approach that combines play with active learning so children develop academic and social-emotional skills while having fun. Children can playfully build early childhood skills like problem-solving, numeracy, emotional recognition, vocabulary, and creativity.
“We are delighted to see Pocoyo join the Lingokids app. Their approach to learning through play aligns perfectly with our values, and we’re excited for families to discover the exclusive games created around our characters,” said Lise Cosentino, Head of Brand Management and Communications, Animaj.
Animaj recently announced the close of an $85M funding round to accelerate its strategy to transform high-potential children’s IPs into global, multi-format franchises— powered by its proprietary AI-driven production pipeline.
Following the success of Lingokids’ collaboration with Moonbug Entertainment to bring Blippi and other characters to the app, this partnership reinforces the brand’s mission to help parents raise amazing children by incorporating beloved third-party brands into its trusted Playlearning™ universe. Unlike other platforms that prioritize passive content consumption, Lingokids offers immersive and personalized experiences, where each child progresses at their own pace through content tailored to their age and developmental level in a safe environment. The result is a platform that kids find as entertaining and fun as parents find educational and trustworthy.
